What Isn't Working: Regardless of how well planned a system of justice may be, there comes a time when it simply cannot address one or more critically important human rights issues. **mc2 With regard to religiously inspired violence, what's missing is way or ways to respond to people who completely disregard our social, our political, and our legal system. The system is incapable of dealing with people who completely disregard the rights of others, people who are not restrained by the potential consequences of their actions, people whose basic belief systems include: 1) making binding agreements with "infidels" while holding the intent to violate those agreements as soon as it's optimal to do so, 2) committing the most heinous of crimes at the very next opportunity, 3) committing suicide in the process, and 4) welcoming death because they believe that they will be rewarded in heaven with personal blessings such as being gifted with 26 virgins. What Can Be: Because the present, legal, political, and social system clearly falls way short in solving a problem of this nature and magnitude, an additional system must be devised -- a system that includes checks and balances to prevent misuse -- a system specifically designed to end religiously inspired violence --- a system that automatically terminates when its task is completed -- a system that considers the beliefs and behaviors of those who promote and/or participate in willful acts of mass violence -- a system that responds appropriately to end this unacceptable behavior. Since the problem is international in scope, it would seem logical that the solution also be international. This website offers viable, workable, doable, measurable, easy-to-implement solution s to the religious violence problem.. |

. There are five distinctly different ways to respond or not respond to religiously inspired violence. Each is mentioned below and each is detailed on other pages in this proposal. . .
. Solution Number One ( Business as Usual & War as Usual) is an invitation to disaster. This will be inevitable result if Solutions Two, Three, Four and Five continue to be ignored. .
. Solutions Two, Three, Four, and Five, if used collectively and if properly implemented, could result in the complete elimination of religiously inspired violence. .

Public Protests: Even the most workable solution will come with an inherent problem -- when the proposed solution becomes known to the pubic, those opposing a solution will launch massive publicity campaign against it and people who endorse, support and/or engage in murder in the name of God will blindly follow. Examples of these common-sense-defying protests are the January 2009, public protests against Israel's leaders because they responded to thousands of deadly rockets that have been randomly fired across international border onto Israeli citizens. Granted, Israel could have used a much less destructive method of eliminating those firing the rockets, (such as solution two and four on the list below) but to do nothing is to encourage more deadly rockets. Discretion: To avoid this problem, portions of the solution process must be done without public recognition or acknowledgement. A precedence setting historical example is the way British Prime Minister Winston Churchill dealt with many of the Nazi war criminals following WWII. Another example is the way the Ferry Command shuttled aircraft and other critical war-related items around the world during WWII. . |

Some Missing Pieces: Regardless of how well planned a system of justice may be, there comes a time when it simply cannot address one or more critically important human rights issues. The masterful document, The United States Constitution, provides some clear examples. When this document was first created by our Founding Fathers, the amendments, commonly known as "The Bill of Rights," were absent. Imagine what this country would be like today without those amendments. But regardless of the extraordinary abilities and wholesome intentions of its creators, the U.S. Constitution still has important pieces missing. The Bill of In Spite of and Not Because of . . . Second, we need to understand that humanity survives, not because of governments, but rather in spite of them. Governments were originally agencies of tyranny by a family or clan that declared itself to be better than everyone else and also had the financial and military power to force its will onto those nearby. Our Founding Fathers made a gallant effort to short circuit that brand of tyranny. Unfortunately, they could not see the masterful way the wealthy have converted the Unites States Republic into an plutocracy -- an organization of the wealthy, by the wealthy and for the wealthy. The super-wealthy have succeeded in dominating the country by subtle and underhanded manipulation of money and debt while maintaining the illusion of freedom. Here are some examples of ways the protection afforded by the United States Constitution could be strengthened: 1) When a
Guilty Verdict Comes Under Serious Question: The intent here is to avoid anyone being held in prison when proof of his or her guilt comes under serious question. A violation of the intent of this law shall be equal to a violation of the letter of the law. 2)
Forced Testimony: The intent of this law is to avoid anyone being forced against their will to provide evidence, testimony, or anything else of value to government agents or assigns. A violation of the intent of this law shall be equal to a violation of the letter of the law.

Threats and Bribery by Government Agents or Assigns: The intent is to avoid the government agents and/or assigns from using threats or promises in order to gain evidence or anything else of value. A violation of the intent of this law shall be equal to a violation of the letter of the law. 4)
Immunity from Responsibility: The intent here is to avoid the government agents and/or assigns from using the legal system to harass those of whom they disapprove. It is also intended to give financial recourse to those wrongly accused of a crime. A violation of the intent of this law shall be equal to a violation of the letter of the law. 5) The Church State -- How Do They Relate: The fifth area of serious concern is the relationship between religion and politics. ** Humans cannot separate their divine nature from the governments they create. ** Everyone has the right to relate to "The Source of All" (Creator/God) in any fashion he or she chooses, including the right to deny that such a source even exists. ** The best way to honor religious freedom is to acknowledge the universal spiritual nature of man, and at the same time, keep the activities of church and state as distinct and separate as possible. The Government is prohibited from passing laws that significantly favor one religion over another, or that directly or indirectly direct public money for the benefit a religion without directing equal moneys to other religions. The Government is prohibited from passing laws that force the practice of a religious beliefs onto those who hold different of opposing religious beliefs. a) The intent of this law is to expand freedom of religion to include freedom from religion. b) The intent of this law is to acknowledge the universal spiritual nature of man, and at the same time, keep the activities of church and state as distinct and separate as possible. c) The intent of this law is to prohibit any religious factions from using the money and/or the powers of government in their own behalf at the expense of other religions. d) The intent of this law is to prohibit any religious factions from directly or indirectly using government property or government money to promote specific religious beliefs. e) The intent of this law is to prevent any religious factions from directly or indirectly using government laws to force their religious practices onto someone else. A violation of the intent of this law shall be equal to a violation of the letter of the law.
