Start Talking Publicly
About Religion and Reality.
Why?
Because,
collectively, humans use religious beliefs as an excuse
to ignore reality, destroy the planet and
kill each other.
Because
your life and the lives of your children and grandchildren
are at stake. Because global climate change is
absolutely real and is the greatest threat to human
survival in all of recorded history. Because human life on Earth, as
we presently know it, is simply not
sustainable. Because based on false beliefs,
collective human behavior is irreversibly destroying our
Earthly environment. Because with very little
effort, you can make a significant difference, and it won't
cost you any money either. Because by
understanding the truth, you can greatly enhance your
material and financial well-being and multiply the joys and
pleasures in your relationships and in your personal
life. Because,
if you believe in the tradition perspective of
"God," your connection to God will become
much clearer and stronger. And if you don't
believe in the God of religions, the universe still had a
source of creation. This project will give you an
open-minded perspective on how to relate to that unknown
source. Just to refresh your

Islam:
We
have
Islamic extremists attempting to commit mass murder
of people who believe in Judaism or Christianity. To them, randomly sending
exploding rocket into crowded cities, blowing up
fully occupied, passenger trains and airplanes in flight,
setting off a nuclear bomb in Israel or in any
European or American city is commanded of them by
God. For them, randomly killing people because
they believe in a different religion is a good
thing.
Christianity:
We have Christian extremists promoting social conflicts,
wars, and other destructive activities and ignoring major social and
environmental problems based on the belief that the
world is about to end.°
United
States Politics:
We have a fake
"born again" in the white house° using
mindless Christians to make more money for his
multi-millionaire friends and to promote police
state practices while ignoring
the environmental disasters that are looming on the
horizon. (There is the
possibility that Mr. Bush secretly believes in The
Rapture
' and is doing what he can to hasten the end of the
world.)
Religious
Wars:
Religious wars are now going on in Iraq, in Afghanistan,
and in and around Israel. Countless
smaller conflicts and arguments are going on all
over the plant right now. For
example, fundamentalist Christian leaders in
the United States have declared war on reproductive
rights based on unprovable, Medieval, religious
fairytale. If you doubt that forced motherhood

The
Public:
We have the vast majority of people sitting on the
sidelines watching and either doing nothing because
they feel powerless or
encouraging the extremist on their side to
continue.
Our
Leaders:
We have those who are supposed to be our leaders
busily fighting symptoms and ignoring the root
causes or our problems.
The
Mass Media:
We have most of the major media afraid to challenge
the even the most trivial illusions because someone will be offended
and that could cost them
money.
The
Root Cause:
Plain and simple, the root causes of our personal,
social, political, religious, and
environmental problems are the
unprovable stories we blindly accept as
