Everybody
Is Right:
As
one example, let's briefly look at
Evolution versus Christian Creationism.
Christians
leaders claim that because God could not have used
evolution to create physical universe as we know
it, therefore scientific evolution is an
atheistic theory, therefore the Bible is right and
the scientific evidence is wrong.
Is
it possible that the anti-evolutionists simply
do not know how God Functions? In
addition to the creationism passages, the Christian
Bible also says that humans do not know how
God functions and that all things are
possible through God.
Is
this still another example of selective
literalism where the fundamentalist Christians
leaders deny God's words even though they are
clearly written in their own Bible, at the same time
they use other Bible passages to support their
claims?
When
you look at the ancient spiritual principles,
when you look at the latest evidence from sub-atomic
physics, and when you sit quietly an think
about this issue, all three point to the
logical conclusion that everything and everyone are
part of a single unified
oneness.
What
if both perspectives are correct?
When one steps outside of time, six days and six
billion years are the same thing. What
if what God is and how
He/She/It functions is a mystery that we
can't solve at this time?
What
if we stopped fighting and focused on something more
critical, such as environmental destruction
or the gross imbalance between human population and
the goods and services required for everybody to
live healthy, fulfilling lives?
.

.
As
a person note, I can remember when I was about age
ten, having a fifteen minute argument with a
friend over what constituted a million.
He insisted that it was a thousand-thousand and I
insisted that it was ten-hundred-thousand.
Neither
of us thought that killing the other would prove
that we were right. Neither of us even
considered looking for rockets or hand grenades
to blow up each other's homes. And God didn't
seem to care which side was right because He was on
obviously on both sides. We managed
to resolve our differences by realizing that there
were no differences.
.

.
When
one steps outside of time, six days and six million
years are the same thing. When one steps
outside of One's childhood religious training, God
by any other name is still God.
And
regardless of what you or I or anybody else believes
about whatever it is we call "God," The
Source of the Universe is whatever it is, it
functions however it functions, and it remains the
worlds greatest unsolved mystery. So the
next time you hear someone telling that they know
something about God, particularly if they claim to
know something that you don't, simple smile,
excuse your self, and leave as quickly as possible.
